The West Fayetteville Bypass project has developed into a significant election issue for all of us. Eric Maxwell and Jack Smith, County Commission incumbents, are up for re-election and both are staunch supporters of this project. Candidates running against them are Allen McCarty and Steve Brown. Last week, John Munford wrote an article (“Who needs W. F’ville Bypass?”) that I found very disappointing. Disappointing because Mr. Munford is usually so much better with his work. Not because of anything that was in the article, but because of the bias that was so evident.
