American Left must despise the poor

A thought occurred to me the other day: The politicians and leadership of the American Left must truly despise the constituencies they profess to support and protect.

Huh? you say. What happens when a wild animal is raised in captivity and suddenly released into its natural habitat? It usually suffers and eventually dies. The Democrat Party has for 80 years fought to increase the support for the poor, the infirm, the elderly, and the mediocre. There are now tens of millions of people who are fully dependent on the federal government for survival.

In the last four years, they have accelerated the process of enlarging the social safety net to ensnare more and more people. They have borrowed and spent to such an extent that we are now about to collapse fiscally as the baby boomers start to collect their “entitlements.” This is because you can’t pay benefits with IOUs, and there are just too many Boomers to support.

So what happens when it all falls apart and all of those government checks start bouncing? A whole bunch of people that have become accustomed to support in “captivity” are going to suddenly be set free into the wilds of the private sector.

The private sector is a habitat that only values what you can offer them and how they can make a buck from your labors. People who have nothing to offer capitalism will receive nothing from capitalism. These people are going to suffer. They have been set up for a fall.

So again, why do the Democrat socialists that claim to love the underdog want to push the system to the brink of fiscal collapse?

Perhaps they don’t really love the poor as their other constituents. Maybe they are merely using them to gain power for its own sake. Then again, maybe they truly despise their supporters and want to see them suffer. Who knows? This is just something for you Democrat voters to think about.

One way or the other the checks are about to start bouncing. What are you going to do now?

The World According to Gilmer

It's nice to have a swamp of ignorance in the dank dredges of Fayette County so that the voice of ignorance has the ability to rise to the surface and show just how bad it is. Thanks, Billy.

Gliding off the Fiscal Cliff

Perhaps when the checks start bouncing, the executives of the military industrial complex will join the poor in the bread line. Jumping off the "fiscal cliff" may be a reasonable beginning to a solution for runaway spending. At least Mr. Gilmer will be able to sleep at night knowing that poor people are deservedly hungry.

American Left Must Despise the Poor

I don't think it's accurate to describe either party as left of right, but corporatist...Oh the Democrats, try to act like they are the defenders of the working class, but time and time again this has been proven false and people whoever they are, should not have to depend on Government or Some person who declares themselves a job creator or capitalist to be able to live....All people in positions of power want you to be dependent on them...That includes you sir.

For the past 40 years, the government and their corporate partners in crime have been involved in the systematic destruction of the working class in the country..No working class or an unstable working class , in this country equals, less for the people who call themselves Job Creators, Entrepreneurs, or Capitalists...

There is no real Capitalism as long as the Government and Banks have pre-chosen themselves as the winner...That's totalitarian, that's where we are right now buddy...Inverted Totalitarianism...Get used to this phrase, you'll be hearing it more and more...So you can talk about capitalism, socialists, the left, the right all you want...To the people who are in real control, it means nothing..Both the Democrats and Republicans are destroying the country along with the Federal Reserve which has declared QE for Eternity...

So when the Federal Reserve devalues the currency while wages and costs stay the same, where does that leave the majority of people in this country? Pretty tricky, seems we are all kind of dependent on what this entity called the "Federal" Reserve does...

What happened in the 2008 financial crisis, should have told you something, that from that point on true Capitalism, where we have winners and losers was broken and until we can make it so people have reason to trust the system, this country is headed on a downward slope...

Yea, there are going to be some very capable people out there without jobs, especially in your field, construction, no wonder you are on this thing all the time.

To Nuk

Thanks Nuk,

People need to stop,if at all possible, this framing of an issue from the left/right perspective...We have problems in this country, big ones, but we have to try our best to find realistic solutions, inline with the teachings of you know who...The person that gets worshipped, but whose teachings have been thrown in the dumpster, because it's just to hard.

Yes, we have a moral obligation, all of us, to take care of the poor, the weak, and not just show people how to live within the confined of this system as given, but to make them strong enough to realize they don't need this system..To dismiss anyone who looks to enslave them..

During the Cold War, Capitalism has to prove itself morally superior, to Communism...Well now that the Cold War is over...I guess now we just deal with the bottom line, get the cheapest wage slave labor from anywhere...How Patriotic is that? But this won't last forever...

We have systems of slavery in this country, wage as well as usury, and anyone who has to work for a living including including Mr Gilmer will be feeling it...

I think no matter how he tries to paint people are incompetent, lazy, I think that what he'll learn is that these folks are quite adept at handling a pitchfork and torch.

The Federal Reserve is the enemy and what they want is what all Central Banks want, a country mired in debt....So they have complete control of it and all the citizens or more aptly consumers, will sit and just watch as their wealth and country's sovereignty slipes away..

Both Democrats and Republicans are in on it, traitors all....

Watch this, it's Debbie Shultz and she has no idea that the President has a Disposition Matrix aka Kill List...http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=zFh0nIYNAyY&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DzFh0nIYNAyY

So she's a Democrat, and lying scum politician, but so are they all, do you think that Democrats and Republicans in Congress care about due process of law? Do you think on this point they are any different..No they are the same...

Unless you have a million dollars of cash in a briefcase to give to these people, you will not be represented...But you never were anyway.

Agree 100% again, Ralph

Glad to see you here posting your insights.

Democracy has been a failed experiment throughout history and the USA is rushing to prove that once again. It's a damn shame but seemingly inevitable.

totally agree, Ralph. Good stuff

It's not a Dem/Repub or Left/right issue at all. It's a system where the richest corporations can lobby their Dem/Repub representatives(or both at the same time) for every set-aside, loophole and advantage over all other businesses and the ordinary taxpayer that don't have the same lobbying clout. That's one reason why the tax code of the USA is a total fiasco. Crony capitalism rewards the donors and screws everyone else by expecting "those people" to finance their own country's undoing.
