Bishop Julian Gordy of the Southeastern Synod, ELCA, will visit Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City on Friday, Dec. 4. Beginning at 7 p.m. he will foster conversation and field questions.
Saturday at 5:30 p.m. the youth of Christ Our Shepherd will offer a spaghetti supper and silent auction to raise funds for three week-long leadership and service events next summer.
On Sunday, Dec. 6, “Miracle on Main Street,” the children’s musical, will be presented at 6 p.m. Children age 4 through fifth grade will sing and tell the story, directed by Ann Perez and Nanette McCarthy, who are assisted by Karen Ladman and Susan Kunig.
The annual Blue Christmas service takes place Monday at 7 p.m. The theme is “Yet in Thy Dark Streets Shineth,” from the familiar carol. Planned especially for those who have experienced a loss, all are invited to this service of hope and encouragement.
The Christ Our Shepherd Flute Choir will provide music.
