Tyrone hosts ‘Tree Lighting’ next Friday

The Town of Tyrone has been busy with plans for the annual Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration. The celebration will include local schools groups such as Tyrone Tempos, Burch Elementary, Flat Rock Middle School Chorus and Band to perform festive Christmas music to get you in the holiday spirit.

The Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration will be held on Friday, Dec. 3 at Shamrock Park in downtown Tyrone off of Senoia Road. Activities will run from 6-9 p.m. Special guests will be arriving along with Santa Claus and his Elves, sponsored by Tyrone Depot. I have a choice, and it's an easy one.

My daughter is in the Rock Middle School Symphonic Band. Now you understand why my choice is so easy to make... I love ya Patriots, but I SURE DO LOVE my daughter A LOT more!

I know i won't be attending..............................

I enjoy the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony... I always try to make it.. But they could not have picked a worst night.... I'll be at Sandy Creek watching them defend their 27 game winning streak and try to make it one step closer to winning their second consecutive state championship. I wish they would have picked a different night for this event.... Its a shame Tyronians will have to make a choice between supporting the local football team, and coming to this event.
