‘Small Business Saturday’ set for Nov. 24

Thanksgiving is upon us, and that means the Christmas shopping season is ready to kick off. Everybody knows that “Black Friday” is the official first day of Christmas shopping that occurs the day after Thanksgiving, but how many people know about “Small Business Saturday?”

Small Business Saturday will take place Saturday, Nov. 24, the day after Black Friday. The day is designed to drive shoppers to local merchants on one of the busiest shopping weekends of the year. The idea is that if we all “shop small” at our favorite local stores, we will help fuel the economy and make a huge impact.

There are more than 300 businesses in Peachtree City, 400 in Fayetteville and hundreds more in Coweta County that might just have that Christmas bargain on their shelves.
