Cops find missing teens from PTC, F’ville

Update - Peachtree City Police reported Wednesday that the two missing boys have been located.

Peachtree City Police are asking for help in locating a 14-year-old Peachtree City boy and a 14-year-old boy from Fayetteville.

Peachtree City Police spokesman Mark Brown on Tuesday said officers are attempting to locate 14-year-old Ladre Fonfield, a black male, 5’11” in height and weighing 130 pounds with brown hair and eyes. Reported missing on Oct. 21 at approximately 9 p.m., Fonfield was last seen in the vicinity of Harmony Village apartments in Peachtree City. He was wearing a black shirt, black pants and carrying a skateboard, Brown said.

Brown said Fonfield is suspected to be in the company of another missing juvenile, 14-year-old Thomas Ruane, of Fayetteville. Ruane is a white male, 5’7” in height and weighing 130 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Ruane was last scene in the area of Lakeland Circle in Fayetteville wearing a white tee shirt, dark colored hoodie, tan pants, and a skateboard, said Brown.

Both missing juveniles are suspected to be traveling together.

Last "scene"?

Okay, I've "scene" this word used incorrectly in this article and in the article about the car thief. Why?

Can we assume the writer was not a finalist in the spelling bee?

Or perhaps this writer also works for the AJC which always has spelling and grammar errors. When I called AJC editor about all their misspelled words I was told that 'spell check' should have caught them. Sign of the times. Perhaps they all need an old fashioned dictionary or thesaurus.
