F’ville cops need help identifying Rite-Aid burglar

Police are hopeful the distinctive red shirt helps identify the burglar in this video. The shirt appears to have two horizontal white stripes.

Fayetteville Police are asking for assistance in identifying the suspect involved in an Oct. 16 break-in at the Rite-Aid store at 800 North Glynn Street.

Det. Mike Whitlow said the burglary occurred at approximately 4:45 a.m. on Oct. 16.

Surveillance video shows a subject, believed to be a black male, approximately 5’2”-5’3”, 140- 150 pounds, wearing a long red jacket with reflective stripes, dark pants and work boots, Whitlow said.
The man gained entrance to the store by throwing a rock through the front door.

Whitlow said the man took several tobacco related items and fled the store. The male was driving an older model 4-door sedan, said Whitlow.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Detective Mike Whitlow with the Fayetteville Police Department at 770-461-4441.

A black male suspect? I 'm shocked. I can't believe it. How dare this racist paper print something like this.
