Nativity will bless animals, host Pet Fair this Saturday

The Episcopal Church of the Nativity will hold its annual Blessing of the Animals and Pet Fair Saturday, Oct. 6, at the gazebo, located in the parking area of the Fayette County offices in downtown Fayetteville.

Activities will begin at at 11 a.m. and continue until 3 p.m. Anyone who wishes may bring animals to be blessed by the Rev. Rita Henault, church rector, at noon, 1, 2 and 3 p.m. A number of other activities will be set up near the gazebo, including pet adoptions, a petting zoo, Zumba fitness display, pet contests, pony rides, face painting, food concessions, and a demonstration by the Fayette County sheriff’s canine unit.

All proceeds will go to the Fayette County Humane Society.
