COS will hold clinics, bless the animals this weekend

Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City will offer two clinics this Saturday, Oct. 2. Flu shots will be administered from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the church. The cost is $25.

An Identity Theft Educational Seminar will be offered at 10 a.m., sponsored by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. During this free 50-minute seminar participants will learn self-protection practices and steps to take if they are victimized. Call 770-487-8717 to secure a place at either clinic.

The Blessing of the Animals service is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 3, at 2 p.m. All pets are welcome, but should be on a leash or in a container for their safety. Treats and a gift will be provided.

These events are part of the county-wide “UNITE: Compassion in Action” weekend. Churches of several denominations will participate in a variety of service projects.

Document shredding will be offered free of charge on Saturday, Oct. 23, at Christ Our Shepherd from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
