James Henry Hambrick, Sr., 90, of Newnan

James Henry Hambrick, Sr., 90, of Newnan, GA passed away August 21, 2011.

Mr. Hambrick was born in Atlanta, GA, the son of Henry Sterling Hambrick & Ethel Leona Tilley Hambrick. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II. He was retired as an electrician with IBEW Local 613.

He is preceded in death by his son Johnny Hambrick, Sr. and grandsons Jim Hambrick & John “Bubba” Hambrick, Jr.

He is survived by his wife Ann Hambrick of Newnan, GA; son Jimmy Hambrick & wife Cindy of Fayetteville, GA; daughter Alicia Benefield & husband Rickey of Newnan, GA; 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren & 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Dorris Hambrick of Spalding Co., GA; cousin Dick Hambrick of Henry Co., GA along with several nieces & nephews.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Westminster Memorial Gardens in Peachtree City, GA with Rev. Danny Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 23rd from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Carl J,. Mowell & Son, Peachtree City, GA.
