American Legion Scholarship Winner

Denny Leander, Commander of Fayette County Post 105 congratulated Matthew Niebes on receiving a $1,000 scholarship from The American Legion.  Each year, The American Legion awards six scholarships to the children and grandchildren of Legionnaires from across Georgia upon graduation from high school. Niebes graduated from McIntosh High School in May and is the son of Legionnaire David Niebes. He will be a freshman in the class of 2014, attending Oxford College of Emory University this fall. Fayette County Post 105 meets the second Monday of each month at the Log Cabin in Fayetteville.
