More than a drill for these PTC students

Some 12 students were put through the paces recently in a mock disaster drill, the cap of their training under the Community Emergency Response Team program offered by the Peachtree City Police Department. These trainees carry out a “victim” from the disaster scene as they worked to triage the remaining victims. The CERT program prepares individuals to help themselves, their family and their neighbors in the event of a disaster. Topics include lifesaving skills, how to help victims, managing utilities and small fires and also organizing spontaneous volunteers. Photo/Special.

Quite the experience

What an incredible experience we all shared in learning these emergency procedures. Big THANKS goes out to the PTC Police Department for all their efforts in providing such great training.

BTW....thats me in the photo. The tall guy! ;-)
