Clues sought for 2 Peachtree City vehicle fires
Peachtree City police are still hoping to shake loose additional information that will lead to the person or persons responsible for setting two vehicles on fire in south Peachtree City July 4 and 11.
A reward of up to $10,000 has been offered in the case but so far no one with any information has come forward, police said Thursday.
The fires damaged vehicles that were parked in driveways of two homes: one in the Everhill subdivision and the other in the nearby Rockspray subdivision, police said.
The first incident happened at 2:30 a.m. July 4 at 109 Everhill when an early model Toyota Celica was set on fire in the driveway, police said. The second incident, on July 11 at 1:50 a.m., damaged a late model Chevy Aveo parked in the driveway at 125 Rockspray Ridge, Peachtree City.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the police criminal investigations division at 770-631-2510, the city’s crime and narcotics information hotline at 770-487-6010 or the Georgia Arson Control Board at 1-800-282-5804. Callers may remain anonymous.
