The Kiwanis Club of Peachtree City held their 25th Annual Art & Music Showcase at The Bridge Community Center on Monday, March 22.  It was an opportunity provided for local youth (Grades 1st – 12th) to showcase their talent in art and music. There were over 100 entries in the art competition and over 50 entries in the talent competition!  Competition and judging was broken out in  four grade level groups:  First-Third, Fourth-Sixth, Seventh-Ninth & Tenth-Twelfth. Morgan Beck, a 4th grader at Braelinn Elementary, placed first (and received a cash award) in the Fourth-Sixth Grade Art competition. Photo/Special.

Opinion

I am a soccer referee and each week I am on a soccer field almost every day. I hate seeing young men and women, sometimes as young as 12 or 13, with knee braces, casts, or on crutches.

Sports

If the “Fountain of Youth” really exists, it may be at the Canongate golf courses in Fayette and Coweta counties.
