‘Annie, Kids’ will be staged in Fayetteville

Join a creative group of campers ages 7 to 16 years as they bring the classic musical “Annie, Kids” to the stage. This production is a shorter version of the original Broadway Show designed for youth performers with adapted score and scenes to make it easier for younger voices and actors.

The show runs about 45 minutes and audiences will delight to such songs as “Hard Knock Life,” “Easy Street,” “NYC” and, of course, the famous “Tomorrow.” The show features many past ACOF performers and several young actors who will make their stage debut during this show.

One ACOF regular is Powell Camp who plays Oliver Warbucks and ACOF patrons will remember him as Prince Eric in the main-stage production of “Disney’s Little Mermaid,” as well as, Aladdin from last Summer’s Musical Theatre Camp performances of “Disney’s Aladdin.”
Zoe Starks takes on the iconic role of Annie and sings the famous orphan’s songs brilliantly. Cute and multy talented, Zoe has been seen with ACOF as Flounder in “Disney’s Little Mermaid” and Sassafranian Parent / Spider Child in “The NeverEnding Story.”

Rounding out the cast of camper is Anslee Camp as Miss Hannigan, Lydia Fowler as Lily St. Regis, Korey Echols as Rooster, Karheem Tillery as Lt. Ward and Bert Healy, Jada Dawkins as Apple Seller, Servant and Usherette, Will Lawler as F.D.R, Azjani Gray as Bundles and Drake, Emily Teel as Grace Farrell, and our orphans Amy Webb as Pepper and Star 2 Be, Maci Mowell as Sarah and Star 2 Be, Madeleine Sheffeld as Molly, Nia Panova as July, Elizabeth Gray as Kate, Kailey Bennet as Duffy and Ashlyn Gaon as Tessie and Sandy.

All the campers have been working hard on costumes, sets, choreography, acting and singing for just two weeks to get this show ready to perform July 12 at 6 p.m. and again at 7:30 p.m. at the Fayetteville Train Depot at 250 Lanier Ave. East in Fayetteville. Reserved tickets are only $5 and seats can be reserved by calling 770-251-7611, payment for tickets will be due at the door.

Seating is very limited and making reservations is highly suggested. If seats remain at show time, they will be available at the door for $6. Refreshments will be available before and after the performances in the box office and doors open 15-minutes prior to each performance.
