Burglary in N. F’ville nets $15K cash, jewels

Fayetteville Police are investigating a residential burglary in the Woodbine subdivision off White Road where the basement door was kicked in and a large sum of cash and diamond jewelry was stolen.

Department spokesperson Mike Whitlow said the burglary occurred between May 1-9. The exact date is not known since the homeowner did not check the basement door on each of those days.

Whitlow said the burglar made off with what was reported as $15,000 in $100 bills, diamond jewelry and a laptop computer.
