Korean War Veterans honored in PTC

American Legion Post 50 & Auxiliary Unit 50 in Peachtree City honored some of our Korean War Veterans recently with a ceremony and certificate presentation at Ashley Glen Assisted Living & Southland Health & Rehabilitation. The Dixie Wing CAF honored our local Fayette County Korean War Veterans at a special ceremony back in November 2012. Many communities held these special ceremonies during the 60th Anniversary of the Korean War, also known as the Forgotten War, by presenting Korean War Veterans with a certificate from the Department of Defense (DOD). Upon finding out that a few of our Korean War Veterans were unable to attend last November, The American Legion & VFW hand delivered & mailed certificates to individuals or family members, in addition to holding various ceremonies.
