The Coweta County Commission on Feb. 16 voted unanimously to confirm the execution of the construction agreement for the county’s new fire station #1 on Turkey Creek Road.

“The bid came in at $2,543,288,” County Administrator Theron Gay said of the contract that had been awarded in January. “That’s a really good price and we’re very pleased with it.”

Construction of the new headquarters of the Coweta County Fire Department by Carrollton-based W.O. Kilgore Construction Company is scheduled for substantial completion within 360 days, according to the contract document.
